Too long on bus. 2 hors to pick up others. Cost of cable car was prohibitive there fore I sat in bus instead of cable car.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Many thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear you decided to sit on the bus rather than walk around enjoying the experience of being on the cone of the volcano. The views are fantastic. The cable car is extra money but not taking it does not ruin the day. (It does not go to the peak)
Lovely day out. Excellent tour guide!

Dec 2022
Great day out!We joined the tour at Ten Bel in Costa del Silencio. "The Fonz" was an excellent tour guide who provided a very interesting and informative commentary in English. We learned so much! The driver, Bernardo, was very friendly, and a safe and steady driver. The coach was air conditioned and comfortable. Although the tour is a half day trip, as it collects and drops off people in different resorts, it may take a bit longer than that, depending where you join and who else has booked the same tour. The tour has regular stop off points for comfort breaks, lunch and photo opportunities. The National Park is full of contrasting environments and stunning vistas. It's beautiful and worth seeing!

Was a lot more than a half day experience which was great for me . Driver and guide were very helpful
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Brilliant. It is a great day half a day out. Just being there with the sleeping volcano is alone an experience. The incredible views. and at the same time it is peaceful. It is interesting to see how many movies have been made around the base and sunken canyon of Teide. Many thanks for the review.

Fantastic nature experience. Guide with great knowledge of the area and history, guide fluent in several languages.A lot of time in the bus due to several pickups at different hotels, even More waiting in bus due to problems with tickets for the top-lift.In general, great natureexperience, good guide but too much time spent in the bus, not really worth the money
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Many thanks for your review. Purchasing the cable car tickets on the coach at least saves you queing for an hour at the cable car buying them direct.
Awful Company, Worst Viator Customer Service
Elif_A,
Oct 2022
I had a medical emergency and had to cancel this trip, the local tour company refused to give me my money back, do not book this experience it is NOT flexible at all
Response from Host, Oct 2022
We are sorry about your experience. however you holiday insurance should cover this that what it is there for. As per the terms of Viator and its partners. there is a 24hr notice of cancelation any time less is stated no refund. It does not mean the company service is awful for you to expect them to pay for your empty seats. You were offered by the kindess of the company to take an alternative date.
Terrible experience with tour guide!
Sanuke_P,
May 2022
The volcano and national park was amazing but the experience with the tour guide was not ! The tour guide at the 1st instance was rude because i forgot my facemask (not required in London) and almost didn’t let me on , only to find she had some spare with her ! 2nd : we didn’t have cash to go on the cable car so I proposed we take it out the cash machine at the end and give ( they would only take cash for the cableCar tickets ). When we came to the end and gave the cash she asked us to get off! This was nearly 8 miles away from our hotel! She asked us to take the bus even though I was not feeling great . Would not go again
Response from Host, May 2022
Thank you for your review. This will be investigated as drop off is where you are picked up from. Many thanks for letting us know. Facemask is different in every country. One should always be handy as this is Tenerife not London. Many thanks and please enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Good trip until there’s a problem
Ruth_L,
Apr 2022
The actual trip was good until the coach broke down and then they didn’t know how to deal with it. The communication was poor and we were stuck there for an additional 2 hours with no food or water provided. Replacement coach arrived but air conditioning was broken so traveled back in 30+ degree heat with face masks and no air flow.
Response from Host, May 2022
Many thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience. This does not happen often. Our job is to get you back to your hotel as soon as we can and safely in these rare circumstanses.
Just OK

A bad experience who turned into an excellent one!I was on the bus stop very early waiting for the bus to arrive. My pick up time was at 9.55am and following other people, being in another country, by mistake I went in another bus which arrived around 10.15am in the original bus stop.I arrived in a shopping centre station and literally panicked and called the company many times. Thankfully, there are still good human in these world and they came to pick me up and took me to the bus which was already far away from my location. It was AMAZING for me that they turned such an horrible experience into an amazing one!A special thanks to Tenerife ticket y excursiones and to Joaquin for driving me all the way to the bus stop and helped me to calm down with his kindness. Also I would like to thanks Guido an excellent Italian multilingual guide who made the trip interesting and relaxing!
Response from Host, Mar 2022

Very good guide and pick up arrangements with guides. Be aware that optional cable car tickets are not included and in busy high season may be unobtainable. This should be more clear.

Cable Car NOT even guaranteed as an option
Neil_B,
Oct 2019
Beware if you want to take the cable car. If you read the other reviews like me, please note that all that seem to say how great the tour guide was at helping get tickets for the cable car were during low season. As soon as the driver and guide arrived to collect us, their first question was if we had our tickets for the cable car already, and when we said that we understood that he would be able to sort this out for us he said that it was highly unlikely. When getting to the Roques de García, we were essentially left there for 2 hours, whilst people who had managed to prebook the cable car with the company providing the tour went off. That was OK, but the only thing to do is a 1.5 hour walk around the rocks themselves, which was not especially easy. Coupled with the fact that as it was a Sunday, the only other building there (a cafe attached to a hotel) wasn't open at the time we arrived. We have been on many Viator excursions before and always had a great time. This one was a massive disappointment. My advice - if you want to go around the Roques de García, this is great, but bring good walking shoes and be prepared for a bit of a trek. If you want to go on the cable car, by all means book this, but then try and contact the company actually providing the tour in advance to see if they will sort you out with tickets for the cable car BEFORE you travel. If the cable car is all important to you, I would suggest that you do NOT book this tour.

Booked online and they rang the next day to confirm. Coach on time. Tour operator knew his stuff and we had a few stop offs for photos. Steady driver made a good trip. Unfortunately the winds were high so cable car was not operating.

Great tour with very good amount of time at the top of Mount Teide to enjoy the really stunning views and eat your lunch above the clouds. Last stop at the souvenir shop was a bit unnecessary and I would rather have had more time at Los Roques de Garcia area which was very interesting with lots to see. Lots of pick ups/drop offs at hotels but it was a coach tour so to be expected I guess.
